In this video, I'll show you how to fix the constant freezing, or frequent freezing and unfreezing, in Assassin's Creed 1 (AC1). This is a freezing take generally takes some seconds, somewhere between 2 seconds and 5 seconds, then it unfreezes, and after some seconds the game freezes again, and this happens constantly throughout the gameplay of the player.

This problem is caused by the fact that the game is constantly trying to connect to the Internet. Thus, the fix is to simply disable the connection to the Internet. This can be done by simply disabling the Wi Fi access of the computer. However, depending on the platform you're using, you'll be required to have Internet connection to launch the game. Thus, I recommend to first launch the game, and after that, disabling the Internet.

1. Launch the game
2. ALT+TAB to go back to the desktop
3. Click on the Wi Fi symbol - Click on the Wi Fi symbol again to disable the Internet

Now you can play the game.

If you also want to record your playtime, in other words, the number of hours played, you can re-enable the Wi Fi just before closing the game. This way, the gaming platform you're using will be record to record the number of hours played.

1. After you have played the game, ALT+TAB to go back to the desktop
2. Re-enable the Wifi by clicking on the Wi Fi symbol - Click on the Wi Fi symbol again to re-enable the Internet
3. Exit the game regularly

In this way, if you want, your gaming platform will be able to register your played hours on the game.
